Hi.

First of all, thank you. Thank you for being here, I feel honored that you decided to give me some of your precious time, I do not take this for granted. Second of all, welcome! I am so excited to embark on this journey and I'm so glad to have you tagging along.

Why did I decide to start this blog?

I have this intense urge to share my inner world with the outer world. I think I already had this deep knowing in childhood. I started writing when I was 11-12 years old. I've written stories, fictions, essays, poems and song lyrics.

While writing, I never doubted why I'm doing this. Everything I've written emerged purely from this creative urge, from joy in writing with passion and a curious mind . In my heart I knew I wanted to keep writing and I had the vision to be an author one day.

Now, fast forward 18 years later, I am here, starting my own blog, ready to share my written words with the world and fulfilling said dream of 12-year-old me.

So first and foremost I believe it is my purpose to share my thoughts, even if it scares me.

Everything I write comes from the heart and is very personal and vulnerable. This form of nakedness is not something that feels super comfortable to do, since I'm putting all this out publicly on the Internet.

At the same time, I believe in the power of vulnerability, honesty and authenticity. These are values I'm trying to live by everyday. It is not easy but something worth striving for.

I believe, that this world needs more vulnerable and honest conversations about how we feel, how the state of the world and our everyday lives affect us.

Life can be so challenging and neither of us should do this all on our own.

So another intention of mine is to provide a platform where we can share our thoughts and feelings with openness, compassion, care and love, with the goal to connect and feel less alone.

What can you expect from >> what a sandy world << ?

For now, I want to use this platform to share my thoughts on different topics and/or life experiences in the form of essays and poems. And since I'm a fan of growing and I believe, that the only constant is change - I can guarantee you, that with time, I might change a few things on this blog. I have no clue where I will be with this blog in a few years, but I am open to whatever may come my way and/or what my soul is yearning for.

If you are looking for a space to connect on a deeper level and to be vulnerable, you came to the right space. On my page, all thoughts and feelings are welcome and valid.

Even though I was born and raised in Germany, speaking and writing in English comes very natural to me, since I learnt English from a very young age. Nevertheless, many texts will be in German as well.

My hopes and intentions with this blog

I already mentioned a bit of my intentions with the first question above, but additionally to that, I want to mention that my biggest dream with writing is to reach an audience of humans who

• seek the deeper meaning of this life and world

• are looking for their own purpose

• are longing to be seen, to be heard

• have this deep knowing that life was meant to be lived not fearlessly, but to keep going despite fear

• know deep down that life has so much more to offer than just sitting in the passenger seat and watch time pass by

• want to be brave and share their truth and stand in their power

  
  

I'm hoping to build a community of people who want to join me in this journey in spreading more joy, vulnerability and making honest connections.

To close this introduction off - I am super excited to start this journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
